Shoes should be made to last and we’ve used only the finest materials, sourced from across Europe, to craft a vast collection of loafers and slippers that are comfortable, durable and a statement in style. All BOMBEROS shoes are handmade in Spain, home to some of the finest shoe-craftsmanship in the world. Our people, those who give their time and their expertise to the BOMBEROS mission, are of utmost importance to us. We have two factories, one in Almansa, a rural region located amongst vineyards and olive orchards in the Spanish province of Albacete, and another in Alicante, a port city located on the Mediterranean coast. The factories are spacious, air conditioned, and filled with music. The Alicante location is less than a mile from the beach and a calm, beachy breeze flows constantly through its doors.
We source fine, quality leather from tanneries in north west Spain, Germany and Italy. Our suede shoes are made with kid suede, which is extremely delicate and soft. And our velvet has been specifically produced for BOMBEROS shoes - it boasts the optimum combination of suppleness and strength that is perfect for shoe upholstery.
Quality. To us at BOMBEROS, quality means creating a product that inspires confidence in the wearer because of the way it looks, smells and feels. The experience begins from when your first unpack our shoebox and smell the premium leather used in our production, to when you handle the shoes and see in detail the expert craftsmanship of our artisans in Spain. Any pair of shoes can look and feel great during the first wear, but a high-quality shoe such as those from BOMBEROS will only become better with age.
If you’ve ever owned a pair of leather shoes, you’ll understand the endurance required to “break them in” – or soften the leather and shape it to your foot. You’ll also know first-hand the reward that follows – a pair of shoes that fit perfectly and are as comfortable as slippers. BOMBEROS shoes have a “break in” period, too, but it’s made worthwhile because the quality materials we use in our manufacturing process ensure your shoes will last, and fit just right, for years to come.
BOMBEROS is based in the US but we’ve long admired the style and sophistication of shoes elsewhere, particularly the classic smoking slipper - made popular by English royalty in the 1700s - and the Belgian Loafer, which has been a European staple for 300 years. We’ve taken these timeless styles and added a touch of modern flare to create the BOMBEROS collection.
